Casimir S. Skrzypczak (SCRIP-ZAK) is the former Senior Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Cisco Systems. He was responsible for the delivery and support of Cisco's Products and Solutions for the Service Provider Market. He also oversaw Cisco's worldwide Professional Services Group. Prior to assuming this position, he was Corporate Vice President and Group President of Professional Services at Telecordia Technologies. Professional Services organization provides consulting, engineering, testing, implementation and integration, as well as learning services to solve business and technical problems that have telecommunications as a key component of the competitive solution.
Cas was formerly the president - NYNEX Science & Technology and vice president - Network & Technology Planning responsible for the formulation of NYNEX’s technology plans and network architecture, including the management and direction of its standards strategies and activities, and for the direction of NYNEX’s research and development programs, including the operation of the NYNEX Science & Technology Center.
He is a widely recognized expert on telecommunications network planning and evolution and is a respected spokesperson on telecommunication architectures and technology trends.
Mr. Skrzypczak serves on the boards of Polytechnic University, the International Engineering Consortium, Battery Ventures and JDS Uniphase Corporation. He is the past chairman of the Alliance for telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), which sponsors the T1 Standards Committee and other industry fora. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, IEEE, and Accreditation Board for Engineering and technology/Industry Advisory Committee (ABET/IAC). He chairs the ABET Industry Advisory Council.
Mr. Skrzypczak holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University and a masters in operations research from Hofstra University. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967.
