Casey Shilts was promoted to executive vice president of Hicks Holdings LLC on October 29, 2004, and in addition to having primary responsibility for legal and human resource matters, she handles certain business development and real estate projects in the company. Shilts joined Southwest Sports Group in October 2000 as vice president and general counsel after nine years with The Coca-Cola Company. From 1994 to 2000, Shilts lived in Southeast Asia where she was counsel to Coca-Cola's division in Bangkok, Thailand, and its bottling division in Singapore. Prior to that, she was based in Atlanta where she was involved in several sports-related transactions involving MLB, the NFL and the Olympics. Earning her B.A. in political science and communications and graduating Summa Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University, Shilts received her J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas in 1992. Casey and her husband, Steve, are very active in Big Brothers Big Sisters and live in Dallas. |
