Highlights
Cary has 25 years of corporate and consulting experience, as well as extensive experience providing products to companies in the diversified banking field. His experience includes high-volume transaction processing, web-based customer acquisition and management platforms, outsourced core processing systems, new technology market introductions, strategic business development, backroom operational development and management, and major P&L general management.
Cary has worked for many banking industry veterans. For example, he has provided eCommerce operational design for Citibank; high-volume consumer payment processing solutions for Washington Mutual, Wachovia, Wells Fargo, and Chase; and new business model and technology introductions for Huntington Banks, Norwest Corporation and T. Rowe Price, to name a few.
Prior to joining West Monroe Partners, Cary served as EVP and group executive with Metavante Corporation. Reporting to the CEO of this $1 billion firm, he was fully responsible for managing a $200 million eFinance business of 1,000 employees focused on providing electronic banking for over 1,500 financial services companies. In addition, the business encompassed the second-largest bill pay processing service in the United States, which at the time accounted for 150 million pay-anyone transactions per year. Cary also served on the corporation’s executive committee and participated in the review and vetting of $1 billion in technology company acquisitions.
Previous to this, Cary built a solid banking operations foundation through several roles focused on core technology and operational development and management. During this time, he also pioneered financial services with advanced technologies. This included Smart Card and Computer Telephony Integration, and he established one of the first fully transactional commercial Internet banks in 1996. These cumulative experiences led to a role as a partner in the US financial services practice of Andersen. In this capacity, he served customers across financial services, including banks, insurance companies, and brokerage and asset management firms.
Cary earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Ohio State University with majors in both Information Systems and Accounting. |
