Carole E. Marcot, Esq. is Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for SynCardia, responsible for quality engineering, regulatory compliance, domestic and international regulatory affairs, quality systems and clinical affairs. Ms. Marcot joined SynCardia from Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic products, where she served as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems. Prior to Ventana, she held similar positions with Impulse Dynamics, Inc., manufacturer of innovative implantable devices for heart failure, and CardioGenesis, Inc., manufacturer of unique devices for coronary artery disease. Her previous experience includes positions with Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Tokos Medical Corporation and Intermedics, Inc. She has taught Food, Drug and Cosmetic Law as an Adjunct Professor and served as founder and corporate secretary of a privately held company specializing in clinical trials. Ms. Marcot received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of St Elizabeth and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine. She holds a JD from Western State University College of Law and is an active member of the California State Bar. |
