Carter Morse has focused his litigation career on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on accountants' professional liability and the representation of Big Four and regional accounting firms in federal and state courts and in government investigations. Carter currently represents clients in connection with large securities fraud class actions.
Other commercial litigation matters on which Carter has advised clients include construction project delay and cost overrun suits and intellectual property disputes. His IP work emphasizes technology applications, as he has litigated multiple copyright actions involving software licenses, source code, and two-dimensional designs.
Carter has developed a substantial background in electronic discovery, and has spoken on this topic at several seminars sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and Lorman Education Services.
