As Vice President for Signature Financial Management, Carter is the managing principal in charge of the firm's alternative investments platform, taking a lead role in identifying and managing the firm's hedge fund, private equity and real assets investment strategies. Carter additionally advises and manages client relationships with families, foundations, and institutional investors, delivering customized and comprehensive wealth management solutions. Prior to joining Signature, Carter spent seven years with Bank of America as a relationship manager and vice president in the Private Bank group. Named one of Norfolk's Top 40 Under 40 in 2002 by Inside Business in Norfolk, Carter has served on the boards of the American Red Cross, the Norfolk Academy Alumni Association, and as a trustee of Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay. A 1991 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College with a B.A. in Political Science, Carter is also a graduate of the Leadership Hampton Roads class of 2001. |
