Shaffer was named director of human resources and organizational development in May 2003. She previously served as director of organizational development and leadership from October 2002. She joined RTI as manager of training in 1999. Prior to joining the company she owned and operated CJS Training & Development a private consulting practice with the primary focus of designing and conducting training programs. Before that Shaffer worked for 12 years with General Electric Company/ GE Capital holding various management roles in their Retailer Financial Services division.
Shaffer holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Fairfield University in Connecticut and is a graduate of GE's Financial Management Program.
