Carol is vice president of corporate human resources with American Airlines in Fort Worth, Texas. Her responsibilities with American have her managing compensation, benefits, performance management, and leadership development functions. She also has experience in marketing, planning, operations and finance. Carol’s introduction to the Make-A-Wish Foundation came with American Airlines’ Wish Flight, a high-flying party that takes wish kids to Florida’s Give Kids The World Village and the Walt Disney World® Resort. Before her service with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, she had previous nonprofit experience serving on the advisory board of American Airlines’ Something MAAgic, and the board of directors for the Chisholm Trail chapter of the American Red Cross. Carol holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Colorado College and a master’s degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She was appointed to the National Board in January 2004. |
