Ms. Woodward is a Partner in our Real Estate Department. Ms. Woodward represents landlords and tenants in drafting and negotiating commercial leases for both retail and office space, and in other landlord/tenant issues. In addition, her practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions, financing, development, permitting, and sales for single site, assemblage, and multi-location transactions. Ms. Woodward’s practice is concentrated in retail big-box tenant leasing and development for one of the largest retail operators in New England. She has also managed several large-scale acquisitions and dispositions of retail store chains. Ms. Woodward has represented purchasers of lease designation rights and leasehold assets from the bankrupt estates of national retail tenants, and handled the disposition of the designated assets.
Ms. Woodward sits on the Leasing Committee of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (REBA), and has lectured at numerous real estate seminars for REBA, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Ms. Woodward is an active member of New England Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE), acting as chair of the Community Involvement Committee. She also sits on the Site Selection Committee for South Shore Habitat for Humanity.
Ms. Woodward received her B.A. from the University of Southern Maine in 1984, and her J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 1995, where she was an editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review. She is a member of NEWIRE, ICSC, REBA and the Boston Bar Association. |
