Caroline R. Hurtado is a partner at Anderson Kill Wood & Bender LLP, one of the nation's leading law firms focusing on insurance policy enforcement. Ms. Hurtado specializes in policy enforcement, errors and omissions and business litigation. Her background and experience in handling complex business transactions ensures maximum benefits for clients.
Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Hurtado worked as operations manager for an international distribution corporation. Her personal involvement in handling complex business matters with preeminent corporations such as Alstom Transport, Alcatel, and Mitsubishi; gives her the special insight and experience necessary to provide counsel in intricate legal matters. Through her involvement in international trade, Ms. Hurtado gained an intimate knowledge of customs brokerage procedures, harmonized tariff classifications and logistics and in so doing, established strategies for import and export of commodities from Europe and Latin America. She also developed international logistics programs for freight consolidation and handling in counties such as England, Spain, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Ms. Hurtado is fluent in Spanish and French.
Ms. Hurtado served as the chief note & comment editor and member of the Executive Board of Editors for the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. Ms. Hurtado is also a member of the Board of Directors of World Affairs Council, Central Coast Chapter. Ms. Hurtado was named a "2007 Top 40 under 40" by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Ms. Hurtado is the author of a published law review article analyzing the effect of fiscal legislation in Argentina and Ecuador where she proposed a model for economic reform. Her article is cited as authority on the issue of economic reform in Latin America.
