Carolee Dodge Francis, Ed.D, MA, of Las Vegas, Nevada, is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. Dr. Dodge Francis is executive director of the American Indian Research and Education Center for the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Dodge Francis is involved with Diabetes Education in Tribal Schools project (DETS), a federally funded initiative that is developing a national K-12 type 2 diabetes school curriculum for American Indians/Alaska Natives. She has over 20 years experience in community/public health, education development and community-based participatory research with urban and rural American Indian communities. Dr. Dodge Francis is a member of the American Indian/Alaska Native work group associated with the National Diabetes Education Program. |
