Ms. Palazzotto has over 8 years of experience providing consulting
services to energy, property management, retail petroleum, mining,
telecommunications and other companies. She has performed many
environmental site assessments and Phase II subsurface investigations,
providing factual reports and practical recommendations on which clients
can base informed decisions. Carol is a registered Environmental
Engineer in the State of Colorado.
R E P R E S E N T A T I V E EXP E R IE N C E
Environmental Engineering From 2000 to 2003, Carol was involved in
the significant expansion of communications towers at that time,
providing environmental due diligence services to cell tower construction
companies for new facilities throughout Washington and Oregon. In
2003, her focus changed to underground fuel tank leak investigations and
remediation, including preparation of Corrective Action Plans and
implementation of active remedial systems. Carol’s field experience
includes groundwater, soil and surface water sampling, operation and
maintenance of air sparge, soil vapor extraction, and hydrogen peroxide
remediation systems. Carol has also been trained as an Indoor Air
Quality Technician through the American IAQ Council and has
conducted many IAQ investigations, including sampling for mold,
VOCs, CO, sewer gases, dust and formaldehyde.
Civil Engineering During the construction season of 1999, Carol
oversaw the construction of a stormwater detention pond, and
replacement of storm sewer lines through a neighborhood in Regina,
Saskatchewan. Her responsibilities included surveying, cost tracking,
and ensuring that the excavation and utility installation were performed
according to design specifications.
Research During a student internship at Emergency Preparedness
Canada in 1997, Carol’s research was published as The EPC Electronic
Disaster Database and its Characteristics (National Library of Canada,
Carol Tudor, 1997).
Carol also spend a student internship with Environment Canada, where
she was involved in a research project to estimate the toxic trace element
air emissions from Canadian fossil-fuel fired utility plants.
