Ms. Meyrowitz has been Chief Executive Officer of TJX since January 2007 and President since October 2005. Ms. Meyrowitz was President of The Marmaxx Group, the Company’s largest division, from 2001 to January 2005, Senior Executive Vice President of TJX from March 2004 to January 2005, and Executive Vice President of TJX from 2001 to 2004. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President, Merchandising, for Marmaxx. From January 2005 until October 2005, she was employed in an advisory role for TJX and consulted for Berkshire Partners L.L.C., a private equity firm. From 1987 to 2001, Ms. Meyrowitz also held various senior merchandising and management positions with The Marmaxx Group and with Chadwick’s of Boston and Hit or Miss, former divisions of TJX. Ms. Meyrowitz first joined the Company in 1983. Ms. Meyrowitz’s career in retail spans three decades, including her experience at several major department store chains prior to TJX. Ms. Meyrowitz is also a director of Amscan Holdings, Inc.
