Mentoring has played a key role in Carol's success and satisfaction at Dow. Throughout her career, she identified individuals that could support her development and provide their knowledge and share experiences. Most of those mentors were more than willing to offer their experience and expertise. That network of familiar faces provided stability and insights as she has navigated eleven positions through 27 years at Dow. By contributing to Dow in so many different functions, businesses and sites, she has gained a first-hand view of a variety of ways to produce results. These experiences with such diversity of people, thought and style has helped her build teams that have generated and continue to find innovative solutions to business challenges. Now, Carol mentors a handful of colleagues who have the same desire to excel that helped her rise at Dow. She shares her story of successes and challenges to help them chart their own course. And when they excel, she shares in their sense of achievement. For Carol, that is one of the most satisfying things about being a leader and a mentor at Dow. |
