Carol Crofoot Hayes is corporate secretary of The Coca-Cola Company. Prior to her election to this position, Ms. Hayes served in the Company's legal division, heading the group responsible for acquisitions. There she was responsible for securities law matters and also handled many major transactions, including the sale of the Company's interests in Columbia Pictures and the purchase of soft-drink brands from Cadbury Schweppes.
Before joining The Coca-Cola Company in 1985, she was with the Atlanta law firm of King & Spalding. She also served as law clerk to the Honorable B. Avant Edenfield, S.D. Georgia.
Ms. Hayes has a J.D. degree from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Hood College. She is a member of the Georgia Bar.
