Carol B. Tomé has served as chief financial officer since May 2001 and was named executive vice president of Corporate Services at The Home Depot in January 2007. She provides leadership in the areas of real estate store construction credit services strategic business development and growth initiatives. Her corporate finance duties include financial reporting financial planning and analysis financial operations divisional finance internal audit investor relations treasury and tax.
Carol joined The Home Depot in 1995. Prior to that she was vice president and treasurer of Riverwood International Corporation. Carol began her career as a commercial lender with United Bank of Denver (now Wells Fargo) and then spent several years as director of banking for the Johns-Manville Corporation.
In 2003 Carol was elected to the UPS board of directors and serves as chair of the audit committee. She is an active volunteer including serving as chair of the advisory board for the Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Fund The Committee of 200 a member of the City of Atlanta Arts and Culture Funding Task Force Women’s Forum of Georgia and a member of the High Museum of Art board of directors.
In 2005 Carol was featured in numerous print articles including the cover story in CFO Atlanta Woman and Strategic Finance magazines. She was also featured in The Wall Street Journal boardroomconnection.com Institutional Investor Business Finance and Treasury and Risk magazines. Additionally she was named as one of the Next Female CEOs by PINK magazine one of the top 25 female finance executives by Treasury and Risk magazine and one of the best CFOs by Institutional Investor magazine. She is a frequent speaker to investor groups the media and special interest groups.
A native of Jackson Wyo. Carol holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Denver. |
