Carman is the vice president of investments coordinating the Company’s real estate investment and portfolio planning process and is responsible for private capital raising efforts. In addition he oversees the business solutions research and process improvement initiatives. Carman joined Highwoods in 1994 as vice president chief financial officer and treasurer and remained in that position until December 2003.
Prior to joining Highwoods Carman spent four years with KPMG Peat Marwick and served as chief accounting officer for Boddie-Noell Enterprises Inc. a franchisee of 350 Hardee's restaurants and a real estate investment trust.
Carman received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with honors from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. |
