Working in association with Don Carter Realty, former Gainesville City Manager J. Carlyle Cox has launched a consulting business focusing on public and private development.
"Our partnership together brings synergy to both of our businesses, providing clients with even greater insight and expertise in the full realm of dealing with issues related to land development," said Doug Carter, president and broker of Don Carter Realty.
In the past 30 years, Cox has worked either directly for the City of Gainesville or in a consulting role. He had most recently worked since February 1995 as Gainesville city manager before departing in December 2002 to start his new venture.
As a consultant, Cox will advise clients on the most efficient investment of government funds and private dollars with an emphasis in the area of commercial development and economic planning for local governments.
"In partnership with Carlyle Cox, our real estate firm will now go far beyond securing land and commercial opportunities for our clients," said Carter. "We now have an insider's knowledge of working through the intricacies of government regulations, zoning requirements, innovative financing and other issues necessary to make a project come to life." |
