Carleen Kelly's strong leadership skills are leading Surge Worldwide Healthcare Communications to its next phase of global growth. In addition to managing the New York-based agency operations, she also oversees several key accounts.
Shortly after joining Corbett Accel Healthcare Group (CAHG) in 2004, Kelly experienced the difference between working with this organization "Corbett Accel has a tremendous record of building a supra-culture, attracting top talent, and developing market moving ideas for their clients. This was refreshing and I wanted to embrace and adopt their principles for Surge".
Appointed President at the beginning of 2005, Surge has been thriving. The Agency has more than doubled its growth - in revenues and attracting top talent. It required more space and in May 2005, the Agency moved to 42nd Street.
Prior to Surge, Kelly served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Torre Lazur McCann Healthcare Worldwide, a division of McCann Erickson. Her tenure at Torre began as a Senior Vice President, Management Supervisor and was promoted within her first year to Executive Vice President, Client Services Director.
Kelly has held other leadership positions at various East Coast and medical promotion companies, amassing more than 20 years of health professional and managed care marketing experience.
Kelly attended St. John's University in Flushing, New York in the College of Pharmacy from 1978 to 1981 and received her bachelor of science in marketing in 1983. She was a member of the President's Society of St. John's and was honored with a mention in Who's Who in America's Colleges and Universities. |
