General Civil Litigation Representative Cases: Represented a major manufacturer of ductile pipe with goal of avoiding suspension or debarment from government contracting as a result of indictments and plea agreement. Represented a major food service distributor with respect to compliance and suspension and debarment matters. Represented bankrupt energy trader with respect to negotiation of settlement of claims under contracts with the government. Represented major defense contractor in challenging a termination for default before the Armed Services Board of Contracts Appeals of a contract for satellite telecommunications terminals valued in excess of $60 million, successfully negotiating a no-cost termination for convenience. Successfully negotiated a settlement on behalf of a prime contractor being sued in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia by a subcontractor for tactical reconnaissance systems. Successfully defended the award of a multi-million dollar contract for radar systems before the General Accounting Office and the Court of Federal Claims. Successfully defended the award of a multi-million dollar support services contract for U.S. operations in Antarctica before the Court of Federal Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Conducted internal investigation at a major environmental testing laboratory with respect to allegations of data manipulation and False Claim Act violations. Prior To Maynard Cooper: Ms. Craft was a partner at Venable LLP in Washington, D.C. in the Government Contracts Practice Group. Ms. Craft represented government contractors in complex actions before the Court of Federal Claims, the federal district courts, the boards of contract appeals, the Government Accountability Office, and various federal government agencies. Ms. Craft also conducted internal investigations and counseled clients on a variety of legal and business issues affecting government contractors. Ms. Craft has extensive experience with respect to compliance programs.
