Mr. Spalding is past President and Chief Operating Officer of PAREXEL (2001-05), a publicly-traded, $500 million+ US-based CRO and biopharmaceutical outsourcing company. During his 4-year tenure at PAREXEL, Mr. Spalding oversaw worldwide business operations for strategic business units, administrative functions and quality management for an organization of 5000+ employees in 35 worldwide locations. Prior to joining PAREXEL, Mr. Spalding held senior positions at several healthcare companies, including Cardinal Health (1998-01) as Group President, Healthcare Product Services, Abbott Laboratories/Ross Products Division (1992-98) as VP/General Manager of pediatric products, and Johnson & Johnson (1970-92) in a variety of senior positions, including with the J&J/Merck joint venture, Dental Care and Baby Products. Mr. Spalding began his career at Compton Advertising supporting key Procter & Gamble brands such as Cascade, Duncan Hines and Comet. Mr. Spalding has also served as a Director of Millipore. Mr. Spalding graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. |
