Carl Dickerson started in the insurance industry in 1965 with New York Life. He started as a small two-man company in 1965 and has built it to a multi-lingual sales force of over 46 employees serving companies around the country from their building near downtown Los Angeles. Carl has proven that much can be accomplished with hard work and a dream, as reflected in the company’s mission statement Dickerson Employee Benefits (DEB) was founded on the belief that all people should have equal access to affordable healthcare. Currently DEB is one of the nation’s largest minority held general agents.
A graduate of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, College of Nuclear Science and US Army College of Emergency Administrative Analysis, Mr. Dickerson began his professional career as a college educator in the field of medicine and health sciences.
In addition to his hard work and success within the insurance industry, Mr. Dickerson is an active community leader holding memberships, directorship and board positions with many businesses and community organizations including the Black Business Association of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Urban League (former First Vice Chair), and Town Hall Los Angeles (current Vice Chair). |
