Carl joined iStor Networks in 2002 with over 20 years experience in the design and delivery of high performance Unix servers, workstations, and network edge service products. Prior to iStor, he was VP of Engineering with Irvine Networks, a startup company developing a network processor for web server content delivery accelerator. Before this, he was with Sun Microsystems as a Director of Hardware Development, responsible for introduction of the Sun Fire E15K enterprise server, as well as Sun’s latest PCI-X ASIC, which was used throughout the Sun Fire server family. Prior to this, Carl was with RDI, a portable Sun workstation provider. At RDI, Carl served as Vice President of Engineering, where he led the successful development of three generations of Sun workstation notebooks and portable servers. After RDI’s acquisition by Tadpole Technology, he served as President of Tadpole-RDI. Carl also developed and delivered several families of Unix multiprocessor servers as Vice President of Systems Development at ICL, Advanced Systems Division. This included the development of one of the industries first RISC processors He holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton. |
