Carl George is Senior Vice President - Development for Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services. He is responsible for all activities related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
George joined HCA as Assistant to the Treasurer in 1969. He has served the company in a variety of positions, including Assistant Vice President of Finance for HCA’s former Australian subsidiary.
In 1987, George joined HealthTrust, an HCA spin-off company, as Director of Development. He returned to the company in 1995, when HCA re-acquired HealthTrust, and he was promoted to Vice President of Development in 1997. He has served in his current position since 1999.
A native of Nashville, George earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University. George is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. He was born on March 9, 1944. |
