Dr. Carl L. Figliola is the President of Carl Figliola & Associates, Inc., a government relations consulting firm. He specializes in government relations and strategic management. Dr. Figliola serves as a consultant on government relations for hospitals, universities, museums, information technology companies and businesses ranging from mid-size to Fortune 500 companies. He represents a variety of clients in New York City, Albany and Washington D.C. Some of the clients, in addition to Tekmark Global Solutions, included; Unisys, CGI-AMS, Dimension Data, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Continental Airlines, Hewlett Packard, Data Industries, Related Companies, Long Island University, St. Vincent’s Hospital, etc. In addition to his consulting practice, He is a former member of the Regional Planning Board, a Trustee of the Queens Borough Public Library, past president of the Queens Library Foundation and was selected by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani to serve on the New York City Charter Review Commission.
Dr. Figliola received his Ph.D. from New York University with distinction in American Political Institutions. He joined the faculty of Long Island University/C.W. Post Campus in 1971. For the past 30 years, Dr. Figliola developed the Masters of Public Administration, and shepherded it through the accreditation process with the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. He established the first Small Business Development Center for a private university. Dr. Figliola also served in a variety of administrative positions at C.W. Post which included; Academic Assistant to the Dean of the College of Arts and Science; Special Assistant to the Academic Vice President and University Dean at Long Island University’s six campuses. |
