Experience
Carl Ciochon is a member of Wendel Rosen's litigation department, with an emphasis on real estate related matters. He has a broad range of experience litigating complex civil cases. In addition to real estate, his areas of expertise include insurance coverage, trade secrets and unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, and investment management. Since joining the firm in March 2007, Carl has:
Won the dismissal, without leave to amend, of a federal class action complaint alleging RICO violations by a residential property management firm;
Helped achieve a seven-figure settlement for a homebuilder in a case arising from a "Finished Lots" transaction gone awry;
Represented the plaintiff in a trade secrets case that settled on highly favorable terms, including a six-figure settlement payment and significatnt restrictions on the defendants' competitive activities; and
Achieved particular success litigating law and motion and discovery matters on behalf of the firm's clients.
In addition to his diverse background as a litigator, Carl has previously served as General Counsel to a multi-billion dollar investment management firm. Following law school, he clerked for the Hon. Richard M. Bilby, United States District Judge, District of Arizona.
