Candice Bagby, 57, joined Regions after the company merged with AmSouth Bank where she served for 12 years. She is head of the Consumer Services Group, which includes Consumer Banking, Mortgage and Private Banking, as well as Marketing and Corporate Communications. She also serves as a member of Regions Executive Council.
Bagby joined AmSouth as executive vice president in July 1994. She was previously employed by Bank One in Texas, where she was marketing director for the Texas bank and also a member of the Senior Marketing Committee for Bank One Corporation, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
Prior to joining Bank One, Texas in 1991, Bagby served as senior vice president and Marketing Director of United Banks of Colorado. She began her banking career at United Bank in 1973, and held various line and staff positions at the bank and holding company.
Bagby holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Statistics from the University of Colorado. She also has completed the Stanford University Executive Management Program for Strategic Marketing Management and the Bank One College Executive Training Program. Bagby is a past chairman and board member of the Consumer Bankers Association and a current board member of the Bank Administration Institute.
Bagby is active in a number of community, civic and charitable organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Visitors for the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Nursing. In addition, she is co-chair of the Birmingham YWCA Momentum advisory board and is on the executive committee of the Alabama Ballet. In 2006, she served as chairman of the Birmingham Museum of Art Ball. Bagby is also a member of the Women’s Network, the Junior League of Birmingham, Rotary Club, and is a former participant in Leadership Birmingham. |
