Candace Clausen was appointed Director of Compliance/Accreditation in March 2008. Since 1990, she has also served in other positions at Sierra Tucson. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Candace attended the University of Minnesota for four years, pursuing addiction studies, and graduated from University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Business Management. Certified as an Addiction Counselor, she went on to receive her M.B.A. at UOP in the year 2000. Candace has worked passionately in the recovery and behavioral health field since 1976 in many roles ranging from Admissions/Intake, Assessing/Testing, Group/Individual Counseling, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising and Business Development, to several directorships. She considers herself to be a lifetime student and continues her studies in the legal arena. Her husband also works in the recovery field, and they enjoy traveling together.
