Salazar is senior consultant with Milliman and manages Milliman activities for Latin America from the Seattle office. He joined the firm in 1998, left in 2005, and rejoined the firm in 2006.Experience Camilo has more than 30 years of management and actuarial experience in international insurance and reinsurance activities in Latin American and European markets, as well as the Far East and the Caribbean.His experience includes appraisal and due diligence of insurance companies in merger and acquisition processes; development, organization, implementation, and management of new operating companies; merger and acquisition activities; negotiation of joint venture relationships and business opportunities; strategic and financial analysis of bancassurance operations; product development; valuation of insurance operations; and pricing of reinsurance products.Prior to rejoining Milliman, Camilo was executive vice president for Pan American Life in New Orleans, responsible for distribution, product development and sales.Camilo joined Milliman from the Principal Financial Group, where he was responsible for the development and management of Principal's presence in Latin America, as well as strategic expansion in Europe.Prior to the Principal Financial Group, Camilo was chief actuary at AIG's ALICO life subsidiary for the American and Caribbean regions, based in Wilmington, Del., and Puerto Rico; chief actuary for Spain and Portugal, based in Madrid, Spain; and product actuary for Life European operations, based in Paris, France.Prior to AIG, Camilo was second vice president, comptroller, and actuary with Travelers Overseas, a Travelers subsidiary with operations in the Far East, the Caribbean and Latin America.
