Mr. Waite joined Penn Treaty in 1996 serving as Chief Financial Officer from 1996 - 2004. Mr. Waite was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2003 and was named Executive Vice President Strategic Operations in May 2004. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Waite served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Blue Fish Clothing Inc. a manufacturer wholesaler and retailer of women's clothing. Mr. Waite has also held various positions with Independence Bancorp. Inc. which merged with CoreStates Financial Corporation his last position being Vice President of Asset Liability Management.
Mr. Waite has lectured nationally on long-term care issues particularly on regulatory and reserving requirements. He has lobbied for national reform and consistency in long-term care insurance reserving standards. As an officer of a publicly traded organization Mr. Waite conducts numerous investor and analyst presentations promoting the potential market and challenges of the long-term care insurance market. Mr. Waite serves as a Director and Officer of National Alliance of Life Companies. His academic background includes a Masters in Business Administration from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Dickinson College.
