Bryon A. Wertz has served as vice president of Corporate Development of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. since 1994. Wertz works with Scott Williamson and his team on TDS corporate development, including merger and acquisition activities. He joined the company in 1979 and was instrumental in the development of TDS Telecom’s cable-television operations. In 1987, he was appointed a director of Corporate Development, where he has participated in several of the wireless and telephone acquisitions for the company's business units U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom.
Prior to joining TDS, Wertz was a professor of Management at the College of St. Catherine in Saint Paul, Minn. Prior to that, he held a series of positions, including department manager, over a 10-year period with Ford Division of Ford Motor Company in Michigan.
Wertz earned his Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University and his Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Minnesota. |
