Buster leads the firm’s Life Sciences Practice, an international team of professionals. Buster has successfully completed searches for CEO, general management, board, and all other senior executive positions. His practice includes a specialization in providing consultation about governance issues and the strategic recruitment of members of boards of directors. The quality of Buster’s consultation is the outcome of his diverse and challenging corporate career with major life sciences entities that have shaped the industry. While at General Electric Medical Systems, he developed his assessment, project management, client service, and strategic business skills. His accomplishments led to a series of executive leadership roles with other companies including Acuson, ADAC Laboratories and Sopha Medical Systems. Regarded as one of the search industry’s foremost experts on leadership issues in the life sciences industry, members of the national and industry media regularly seek his opinion. He is often found behind the podium, addressing the membership of major associations and business organizations throughout the U.S. A former United States Army combat officer in Vietnam, Buster spent three years on active duty. He is a graduate of Marshall University and holds a master’s degree in management from Webster College. Buster is involved in a variety of civic and charitable activities, notably the Baltimore Association of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. He is based in Columbia. |
