Mr. Isaacs brings a wide array of telecommunications skills and experiences to ARRIS. He has had significant experience in forming, leading and managing organizations involved in product developments in cable television, wireless data networking and high-speed wireless internet telecommunications systems.
Prior to joining ARRIS, Mr. Isaacs was Founder and General Manger of Lucent Technologies Wireless Communications Networking Division in Atlanta, Georgia where he was responsible for the definition, development and marketing introduction of wireless internet access products. During his time with Lucent, he was also engaged in the definition and development of next generation network interface units for fixed wireless access and also in the establishment of Lucent's Product Realization Centers. While with Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, he led the planning and development of equipment for hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) and switched digital video access systems.
Mr. Isaacs also held the position at General Instruments of Vice President of Digital Network Systems where he was responsible for developing international business strategies and products for digital video broadcasting systems that were chosen by the largest cable operators in the United Kingdom.
Education: Bachelors degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Masters degree from Cornell University, both in Electrical Engineering. |
