Since obtaining his Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Virginia Tech, Mr. Crittenton knew he wanted to own his own business. He prepared for this goal by supporting the Federal and commercial IT markets for nearly twenty years as the Vice President of IT Operations and Vice President of Business Development for two highly successful graduated 8(a) firms. While supporting the 8(a), small business community, Mr. Crittenton became well aware of the pitfalls and traps that limit long-term small business success. Of those pitfalls, the most prevalent had been the lack of focus and the misconception that a small company can be everything to everybody. In 2001, with a combination of experience, expertise, enthusiasm, and energy, Mr. Crittenton started 6K Systems, Inc. (6K) with a focus on IT Services and Management Consulting. These core competencies mirror his extensive personnel expertise in Government-wide and Department-wide Financial Management Systems, Enterprise Transportation and Geographic Information Systems, Capital Planning and Investment Control, Enterprise Architecture, Program and Project Management, Information Assurance, and IT Infrastructure Support Services (data warehousing, network and telecommunications, help desk, applications development). Throughout the years, he has developed a strong network of technicians, management professionals, subject matter experts, and corporate partners who provide 6K with the depth of resources, capabilities, and expertise needed to meet and exceed our customers’ needs. |
