Bryan Caporlette has served as eOriginal's Chief Technology Officer since April 2001. He was appointed Chief Operations Officer in 2004. Mr. Caporlette is responsible for strategic and operational direction for the company, including product development, marketing, customer & product support, and field sales. Mr. Caporlette has an extensive background in software startup operations, product strategy and development and is a noted expert on the development and application of eXtensible Markup Language (XML) technology into software solutions. Prior to joining eOriginal, Mr. Caporlette was the Executive Vice President of Strategic Technology for Sequoia Software Corporation, the leading provider of XML-pure portal software. In that capacity he was the principal architect of Sequoia products, as well as the company's expert on XML and the portal software space. Mr. Caporlette was responsible for software requirements and architecture of the XML Portal Server, through Sequoia's 2000 IPO and acquisition by Citrix Systems for $185M in 2001. He also served as the company's technical representative to several industry groups, such as W3C and OASIS. Prior to Sequoia, Mr. Caporlette held several engineering management positions with companies within the content management, document management, document conversion, and aerospace industries. He began his career with the United States Air Force (USAF), at Armstrong Laboratory in Wright-Patterson AFB. He was awarded the Chief Scientists and Technical Achievement awards for his work in the development and authoring of MIL-STD-87269. Mr. Caporlette is a graduate of Miami University, Ohio. |
