Mr. Bassett’s corporate practice emphasizes professionals (doctors, dentists, architects, accountants, engineers, lawyers, etc.) and owners of closely held businesses (shareholders, partners and members). His practice includes advising clients in the formation, acquisition, merger, sale or termination of such businesses, as well as the general planning, business transactions, contracts and agreements of such entities. In addition, he has particular expertise in preparing employment agreements and independent contractor agreements on behalf of professional entities. His practice also includes trust and estate administration, probate, the preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns, and general estate tax planning and consultation.
