Dr. Bryan Zwan founded Digital Lightwave in 1990 and was the architect of the Network Information Computer (NIC) the industry's first portable network analyzer for high-speed fiber-optic networks. The NIC is now deployed by nearly 400 telecommunications carriers equipment manufacturers and systems integrators worldwide and is widely credited as having established a new paradigm for network test equipment. In addition to his post as chairman Zwan served as president and chief executive officer from the company’s inception through the launch and early market penetration of Digital Lightwave's original product lines. He returned to these leadership positions in early 2002 prior to the promotion of Jim Green to president and CEO. Zwan holds a Ph.D. in space physics from Rice University and B.S. degrees in physics and chemistry from the University of Houston. |
