In addition to his duties as vice president and controller, Bryan E. Seas became chief accounting officer in September 2005. In these positions, Seas is responsible for facilitating growth, corporate accounting, and financial reporting at AGL Resources.
Prior to joining the company in July 2003, Seas spent almost 10 years with El Paso Corporation. As vice president and controller of El Paso’s Global Power group, Seas was responsible for accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, budgeting and forecasting for the group, which had domestic and international assets of approximately $5 billion. As El Paso’s director of corporate accounting, Seas directed the general accounting, technical accounting research, and financial systems services of the company.
Seas also spent time as director of accounting for Southern Natural Gas Company, as corporate controller for Sonat Inc., and four years in public accounting with Ernst and Young.
Seas received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University in 1986 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991.
