Bruce Walker, M.D. is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of AIDS at Harvard Medical School, an investigator at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Director of the Partners AIDS Research Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition, he is adjunct Professor at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine in Durban, South Africa. He obtained his undergraduate training at the University of Colorado and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), and graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Walker's research focuses on cellular immune responses to HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV), and he also continues his work as a clinician with a specialty in infectious diseases, focusing on the treatment of persons with HIV/AIDS. |
