Mr. Sayre is responsible for the day-to-day details and operations of a real estate firm that has sold nearly $8 billion in residential, development, commercial, office, retail, mineral/air rights, and industrial real estate since 1965. Mr. Sayre also serves as the company’s personnel director, and is directly responsible for the selection and guidance of the firm’s sales
and administrative management staff. He is also a member of the firm’s senior management team, actively participating in business development and corporate planning strategies.
Mr. Sayre began his rise within Sheldon Good & Company in 1977 when he joined the firm as a conventional commercial real estate salesman, ascending to Director of Sales in 1998, and Executive Vice President and Partner in 2000. He has been actively involved in over 1,400 auctions in North America and has participated in the sale of over $4 billion in residential and commercial real estate. He has
personally represented 190 sellers, resulting in the sale of over $200 million of office, apartment, retail, and industrial properties through negotiated sales strategies. He is a recognized real estate marketing expert, a major contributor in the development of residential and commercial auction strategies, and is the firm’s principal auctioneer.
Mr. Sayre is recognized as one of the nation’s leading fundraising auctioneers and is personally responsible for raising over one million dollars annually for numerous charitable and civic organizations, including Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, Prevent Child Abuse, The Art Institute of Chicago, The USO, The National Association of College Admission Counselors, the Hotel-Motel Association, and many others.
He is professionally licensed in numerous states as a real estate salesperson, broker, or auctioneer. Mr Sayre is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, the National Auctioneers Association, the Illinois Board of Realtors®, and the Chicago Board of Realtors®. He taught the course, Real Estate Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois’ Chicago campus, and real estate classes
at the Repperts and Missouri Auction Schools.
