Mr. Roberts has over 20 years of varied experience as an investment banker and corporate finance specialist, with emphasis in recent years on private equity placements for early stage and middle market companies. In 1995, he founded Carolina Financial Group, which includes several lines of financial service businesses related to investment banking. Before founding CFS, Mr. Roberts spent eight years at CS First Boston, headquartered in New York, where he was a Director in the Investment Banking Department. Completed transactions at CSFB included privatizations and cross-border debt, equity, and equity-linked financings to issuers throughout the Pacific Region. He also spent three years with Bank of America in San Francisco, where he was a short-term finance specialist. Prior to investment banking, he was a Special Warfare Officer in the United States Navy (UDT / Seal). Mr. Roberts has recently served on the Board of Directors of RapidMoney Corporation, an early stage money transfer business and Cybiz, Inc., a provider of on-line supply chain management tools. He is also a Trustee of Brevard College. Mr. Roberts graduated in 1979 from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering. He currently lives with his wife and four children in Brevard, North Carolina. |
