Bruce Miller Director, Finance Bruce Miller is Director, Finance for Strategic Analytics and is responsible for finance, contracting, human resources and administration. Mr. Miller worked for Amoco Corporation and then BP Amoco Corporation for 22 years in a wide variety of roles. He served as Manager, Planning and Economics for the Africa and Middle East region of Amoco Production Company (APC), the exploration and production subsidiary, where he oversaw strategic planning and investment evaluation and negotiated several joint venture agreements. After that, as Manager, Financial Controls, he was responsible for APC s global budgeting and management reporting processes. Next, he performed a number of senior roles in Amoco s corporate treasury office, including overseeing their structured financing operations; negotiating divestitures; managing their worldwide cash portfolio, commercial paper program and bond issuances; and managing their global currency trading, exposure assessment and hedging program. Finally, following the merger of BP and Amoco, he was overall project leader for the multi-billion dollar sale of BP Amoco s west Texas and Eastern New Mexico oil properties. After leaving BP Amoco, Mr. Miller moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2000 and established a consulting practice where he served in the role of part-time contract CFO for a number of early- and mid-stage technology companies. He also was a project manager for Technology Ventures Corporation, a non-profit corporation that provides strategic, business, financial and fund-raising advice to technology companies in New Mexico, California and Nevada. Mr. Miller holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. |
