Bruce McCracken is Program Director for a series of Synectics contracts that provide IT Support Services for ACF, HHS. Mr. McCracken manages 75 professionals under these contracts, including Synectics activities associated with consolidating grants processing systems selected by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as a line of business for the issuance of federal government grants. These systems received the Grants Center of Excellence (GCoE) designation, reflecting OMB’s selection of ACF as a federal government-wide grants management service provider. Mr. McCracken also oversees initiatives supporting Web-based life cycle development for numerous other systems in operational divisions within ACF and HHS. Additional areas of responsibility for Synectics at ACF include managing database, network, Help Desk and training support, content management, policy and planning, security reviews, financial reporting, enterprise architecture, and implementation of project management offices. Mr. McCracken has 35 years of experience in the areas of IT and management with 15 years of consulting for the federal government and 20 years of employment in the commercial and military sectors. He has excellent management and communications skills. Mr. McCracken has received numerous customer citations for his role in managing the design and implementation of extensive data systems for government agencies and has been included in Who’s Who in the Computer Industry. Before joining Synectics, he was Program Director for BAE Systems Information Technology (DigitalNet Government Solutions, User Technology Associates) where he led a project office for a 250-person IT project at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Mr. McCracken received a BS in Business Management from the University of Maryland, a graduate certificate in IT Leadership from the University of Virginia, an MS in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin in 2005, and is completing an MS in Leadership and Business Ethics at Duquesne University. |
