Levenson co-founded United Communications Group (UCG), a group of professional publishing companies, along with Ed Peskowitz in 1977. UCG, which is now one of the largest privately held business information companies in the world, provides specialized information to more than two million clients in numerous business sectors, including healthcare, technology, energy, and financial services. Involved in many philanthropic endeavors, Levenson has served as president of the I Have a Dream Foundation , and the boards of Hoop Dreams and the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region. A native of Chevy Chase, Md., he is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and the American University School of Law. From 1994-99, Levenson and Peskowitz owned a minority interest in then Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Capital Centre and MCI Center. Levenson resides in Potomac, Md., with his wife, Karen. They have three sons. |
