Bruce Lanning, Ph.D. is the manager of the thin-film technologies group at ITN, a group he also managed from 1997 until 2002. From 2002 until November 2005, Dr. Lanning was the principal scientist at the Southwest Research Institute, where he investigated the development of a wireless thin-film sensor system for the U.S. Department of Energy. He has over 25 years of professional experience in materials research, with particular emphasis in the area of phase transformation/thermodynamics of thin-film surface and interfacial sciences. Dr. Lanning holds a B.S. degree, M.S. degree and Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. |
