Dr. Jones joined EMP in the Emergency Department at Doctors Hospital on June 1, 1998. Dr. Jones completed his Emergency Medicine Internship and Residency at Doctors Hospital. He completed his undergraduate education at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Jones received his Medical Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jones worked for one year at Mount Carmel Hospital Emergency Department before returning to Doctors Hospital in 1999 to resume the positions of full time Attending Staff Physician and Associate Clinical Professor at OUCOM. In 2003, Dr. Jones was chosen as the recipient of the Outstanding Emergency Medicine Faculty Award. He is Chair of the Hospital-Based Physicians. He is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee, Clinical Quality Committee, Credentials Committee and Ethics Committee. Dr. Jones is board certified by AOBEM and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. He lives in the Columbus, Ohio area with his wife, Paula Jones, DO, who also works for EMP, and their four children. Dr. Jones completed the EMP Scholars directorship training program in 2000. |
