Mr. Bruce Deal is a co-Founder and Senior Vice President SET Corporation. Prior to founding SET, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of Veridian Systems Division, managing the intellectual property portfolio and IR&D projects of a $400M defense technology business. Before re-joining industry, Bruce was the Assistant Deputy Undersecretary of Defense (Concept Development) of the DoD. There he sponsored multiple Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), including Semi-Automated Image Processing (SAIP), Precision Targeting Identification, and Combat Identification. Prior industrial experience includes SAIC and Northrop. Bruce has more than 27 years of experience with defense issues, program and line management, system and software architectures, munition development programs, real time image processing systems, and automatic target recognizers. He has designed, constructed, and tested real time targeting and control systems in both the field and laboratory. Bruce holds B.S. degrees in Biological Science and Electrical Engineering, and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. |
