Bruce Cox is the Vice President of Government Affairs for Cyren Call Communications. Mr. Cox previously served as Sprint Nextel Corporation’s Senior Director – Government Affairs from the date the firms merged in August 2005 until June 2006. Prior to the merger, Mr. Cox held a similar position with Nextel Communications, where he was deeply involved with public safety communications and spectrum rebanding. Before joining Nextel in 2003, Mr. Cox held various positions with the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) including Vice President of Regulatory Policy and Vice President of Industry Affairs. Before joining CTIA, Mr. Cox served as AT&T Corp.'s Vice President of Government Affairs, directing AT&T's federal congressional and regulatory public policy groups, including participation in the FCC's interconnection and unbundling, universal service fund, and access charge proceedings. Mr. Cox is a 29-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, with background in the wireline, long distance and wireless industries and a proven track record of achieving federal legislative and regulatory corporate policy goals, including the 1996 Telecommunications Act, the FCC’s Interconnection and Unbundling Orders and the FCC’s more recent 800 Megahertz Order. |
