Bruce Busmire is Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation one of the world's largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies. Houston-based Anadarko is active in the U.S. Algeria and China and is executing strategic exploration programs around the world.
Mr. Busmire joined Anadarko in May 2006. He has worked in the energy industry since 1980 and brings a wealth of experience in both accounting and investor relations coupled with executive leadership roles to his position at Anadarko. The majority of his early career was spent at Amoco Corporation where he progressed through a variety of accounting and managerial jobs during his 17-plus years. From there Mr. Busmire served as Controller at Altura Energy and in 2000 became Vice President Investor Relations at Ocean Energy. In 2004 he participated in the start-up of Pickering Energy Partners and in 2005 he was named Vice President Chief Financial Officer Treasurer and Controller of Noble Corporation.
Mr. Busmire holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Lamar University and an M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been active in a number of professional organizations including the Financial Executives Institute the National Investor Relations Institute and the Petroleum Investor Relations Association. He is named a life member of the Texas Parent Teacher Association as a result of his volunteer work in the Spring Branch Independent School District. |
