Bruce W. Brooks is Group Vice President of the Corporation and President - Consumer Products Group of the Power Tools and Accessories segment. He was named to this position in March 2007 and has worldwide responsibility for the Black & Decker brand. Mr. Brooks was elected a Vice President of the Corporation in May 2005.
Prior to being named to his current operating position, Mr. Brooks had led Construction Tools, the largest division of the Industrial Products Group, since October 2004. Mr. Brooks joined Black & Decker in 1986 as a Retail Sales Representative in the Power Tools and Accessories business. Since that time, he has served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including National Sales Manager and Group Product Manager. He joined the Latin America unit in 1995 as DEWALT Marketing Director and progressed to Commercial Director - Brazil. In 1998, he was promoted to Vice President - Marketing for Latin America and was named General Manager for the Caribbean, Central America, Venezuela, and Ecuador. In July 2000, Mr. Brooks was named Vice President - Marketing for U.S. Consumer Power Tools and Accessories and, in July 2003, was appointed Vice President - DEWALT Marketing.
Mr. Brooks earned a B.S. degree in marketing from The University of Virginia in 1986 and is a 2002 graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program. He serves on the boards of The League for People with Disabilities and The Neighborhood Design Center, two non-profit organizations in the Baltimore area. |
